In the first few weeks of school, we are learning about how to manage ourselves in our new learning environment. We are learning about the other students in our class and what their strengths are.
We are also learning about how we learn. Today we watched two youtube videos that showed us how to make an origami cup and boat. Some students found this really easy and only had to watch it once to be able to follow the instructions. Other students found this really tricky and had to watch it lots of times to be able to complete their cup and boat. This showed us that some students learn by watching and doing more easily than others.
Here are the videos we watched. You might like to try them at home. The paper cup was quite easy but the boat was a bit trickier!
